Common Questions
The most convenient route is a direct flight from Santiago (SCL) to Puerto Aysén Airport (MHC), approximately 2 hours. Our private transfer service meets all guests at the airport and takes approximately 35 minutes through the forest road to the lodge. Transfer is included in all lodge rates.
The Austral Summer (November through April) offers the best conditions — long daylight hours, milder temperatures (10–18°C), and the rainforest in full bloom. The shoulder seasons of October and May are quieter with dramatic moody skies. The lodge operates year-round, and winter visits offer a rare, intimate Patagonian experience.
All lodge rates include a full forest breakfast delivered to your lodge each morning. Half-board (breakfast and dinner at La Mesa del Bosque) and full-board packages are available at the time of booking. In-lodge private dining can also be arranged through your concierge.
Beyond wilderness expeditions, guests can enjoy the Küme Ancestral Spa, forest thermal pools, The Cartographer's Bar, private chef's table dinners, birdwatching from the lodge terrace, fly-fishing on the Aysén river, photography workshops with our resident naturalist, and evening gatherings at the Explorers' Club salon.
Cancellations made 30 or more days prior to arrival receive a full refund. Cancellations within 15–29 days receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable. Full details are available on our Cancellation Policy page.
The Explorers' Club gaming salon is exclusively for registered lodge guests aged 18 and over. It operates each evening from 20:00 to 02:00. Dress code is smart-casual. Please gamble responsibly — the lodge promotes responsible gaming at all times.
