Cancellation & Returns

Our cancellation and refund policy, designed to be fair to both our guests and the lodge.

1. Standard Cancellation Policy

The following cancellation terms apply to all standard lodge bookings at Selva Austral Lodge. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected] and are effective from the date received.

2. Peak Season and Special Packages

Reservations during peak season (December 20 – January 20 and Easter week) and for exclusive packages (honeymoon, private dining, multi-lodge retreats) are subject to a stricter cancellation policy:

3. How to Request a Cancellation

To cancel your reservation, please email [email protected] with your full name, reservation confirmation number, and arrival date. Our team will confirm receipt and the applicable refund within 2 business days.

4. Refund Processing

All refunds are returned to the original payment method. Bank transfer refunds may take 5–10 additional business days depending on your financial institution. We do not process refunds in cash. A processing fee of 2% may apply to refunds on international credit card payments.

5. Date Changes and Modifications

Date changes to an existing reservation may be made free of charge up to 30 days before arrival, subject to availability. Changes within 30 days are treated as a cancellation and re-booking and will be subject to the standard cancellation terms for the original reservation.

6. Additional Services

Pre-booked additional services (spa treatments, private guided expeditions, in-lodge dining experiences) may be cancelled up to 48 hours before the scheduled service for a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours are non-refundable.

7. Force Majeure

In the event of circumstances beyond the reasonable control of either party (natural disasters, extreme weather events, government restrictions, epidemics), Selva Austral Lodge will offer a full credit note valid for 24 months or the option to reschedule at no additional charge. Cash refunds under force majeure are at the Lodge's discretion.

8. Lodge Closures

In the rare event that the Lodge must close due to circumstances outside our control, guests will receive a full refund or the option to rebook at the same rate. We will notify affected guests with as much advance notice as possible.

9. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance, including cancellation coverage, prior to making a reservation. Selva Austral Lodge is not responsible for costs arising from travel disruptions, flight cancellations, or personal circumstances preventing travel.
